Husband, father, son, brother, family, friend. BBC journalist, Liverpool fan, globetrotter, honorary Egyptian. Lover of snow sports, water sports, deep sea diving, lying star fish in the pool, lying in the sun, distance running, walks in the great outdoors, terrifying funfair rides, Glastonbury, silent disco, salty snacks and any type of chewy sweet ever made. Daddy, Dips, Joff, BBJ, Lulu, ATP, Jonathan or Jon.

 

However you knew him, whatever you called him, the consensus is he was unforgettable - for all the best possible reasons - and he is loved and missed in equal measure. For this and everything he was, we could not be more proud of him or more proud to be his family.
