Nominated Charities

We want to raise money for charity in Jon's name, for the causes that have become important to us.

We welcome all fundraising ideas and want to remember Jon together - and have some fun.

If you'd like to raise money in Jon's memory for these causes, or any others, then please do so and let us know.

CHILD BEREAVEMENT

We owe a debt of gratitude to these charities - Child Bereavement UK works tirelessly and outside of the box to help children who are suffering after losing a loved one, and Winston's Wish runs a helpline with trained counsellors to help with anything at all, among its many services. There are a lot of children in pain right now and these charities really help.

PANCREATIC CANCER CHARITIES

The survival rates for this cancer, as everyone knows, are devastating and unchanged in 40 years.

It's become clear that the real chance of improving survival rates is early detection. Often the cancer is too aggressive and fast moving to control unless caught very early.

We have become involved with this charity because it is investing so much in research and putting patient care at the heart of their work along with collaborating with a wide range of groups.

HAVING FUN

The Courage Foundation
https://thecouragefoundation.uk

This is an amazing charity that represents the one thing that has always been very dear to us - that the children should have fun and their childhoods should be protected despite their huge sadness.

The story of the family who created this charity is truly humbling and inspiring. They raise money to fund ‘Therapy through Themeparks’ for bereaved children and their families to have fun, make new memories, remember the special person who has died - and help families along the route to survival.
